ESSENTIAL

Fantagraphics,
2003
The psychosexual story of Martin, a painter, who falls into
a bizarre relationship with his uncouth female model, Tina.
"Cooper's loose, lush rendering and compositional igenuity make
each panel an assertive, succinct, revealing vision. Riveting
and horrible, this continues as one unflinching story of pedestrian
vices carried one full step beyond, nestled in a bijou unlike
anything else on the stands."
The Comics Journal #240
"Cooper's
chunky, brutal drawing style fairly drains the sexually explicit
story of prurient interest without, however, making it repulsive...
Truly and honorably,
a graphic novel for adults only."
